Top Ten America’s Best DJ Winner For 2014

Winner of the DJ Times magazine and Pioneer DJ’s ‘America’s Best DJ Top 20’

After a list of frontrunners was revealed last month, the winner of the DJ Times magazine and Pioneer DJ’s ‘America’s Best DJ’ poll has been announced. After taking home the mantle in 2012, German-born Markkus Schulz Markus – who has long considered the US his home – has won it again.

After the fan votes were tallied, Mad Decent boss Diplo came in at #2, followed by turntable maestro A -Trak. In the rest of the top ten, main stage regulars Skrillex and Dillon Francis feature alongside more seasoned players like DJ Dan and Claude VonStroke. The awards ceremony was at Marquee Nightclub in Las Vegas.

Wondering where Kaskade is? Because the west coast house hero won the top spot in 2013, he’s not eligible to win again until 2015.

“Receiving this news is such an incredible honor,” Schulz writes in a statement. “I have never been in this industry for the sole purpose of winning awards, and my biggest accomplishment in life is having the ability to connect and entertain those who believe in me and what I do on a daily basis.

“I’d like to thank everyone at DJ Times and Pioneer DJ for their continued support, all of the promoters who facilitate my passion in the clubs and festivals throughout North America, those who sacrifice in helping me achieve my dreams, and most of all, the fans, because without you, none of this is possible. Forever grateful for your love and support, and I look forward on our continued journey into the future.”
